ABOUT

Julia Seibert is an award-winning classical guitarist from Germany. Now based in London, her work draws on the European salon tradition, where music by composers such as Frédéric Chopin and Franz Schubert was regularly performed in private settings.

Born and raised in Istanbul and later based in Washington, D.C., she has over a decade of performance experience and works across several languages. She studied at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin before completing her Master’s at Trinity Laban with distinction, receiving the Strings department’s medal for highest achievement. Her work has been further recognised with several prizes for artistic excellence.

Drawing on over five hours of repertoire performed entirely from memory, she interprets works by composers such as Bach, Vivaldi, and Chopin through the intimate voice of the guitar, often in her own arrangements. Her playing has been described as “intimate and sincere,” with an understated but powerful presence, capable of “conveying things beyond words”.

In 2025, she premiered Concerto Arabesco, a work dedicated to her by composer Andrés Miranda.
